About Hilary

Hilary’s educational background includes a Bachelor of Science in Psychology prior to receiving her Masters of Science in Occupational Therapy from the University of New Hampshire. Upon completion, Hilary returned to her Maine roots and gained valuable experience in both hospital-based and private outpatient settings. She developed a strong interest in hand therapy as well as specialized management for oncology rehabilitation.

In 2006, Hilary was trained through the Norton School of Lymphatic Therapy and became a Certified Lymphedema Therapist (CLT). Through this experience, she developed a special interest in breast cancer rehabilitation. Utilizing various manual and therapeutic techniques, she works with individuals to overcome cording, shoulder stiffness, lymphedema, and weakness. Hilary has been able to wrap together her professional passions for oncology rehab and certification in hand therapy to offer innovative, comprehensive recovery programs to help individuals get back to doing the activities that they love.

Hilary’s gentle demeanor and expertise adds a valuable dimension to the team of seasoned hand therapists. Her clinical interests include orthopedic and nerve injuries, joint and tendon repairs, custom splint fabrication, and providing education for joint protection and lifestyle management of various arthritic diseases. She believes in understanding the whole person, their history and interests to provide therapy to restore function for lasting relief.

A Maine native, Hilary resides in Yarmouth with her husband, two boys, and the very sweet office dog, Louie. She enjoys spending time with her family and friends, going to the beach, skiing, running, and exploring Portland’s restaurants.
